Our Journey

2024
Mano Bank contributed to society by protecting the forests of Lithuania, investing in national defence and the success of the country’s athletes

Mano Bank applied a values-based support policy across three main areas. The largest share of support went to Ukraine and the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union. For the second year running, we supported the Ancient Woods Foundation. In terms of sports, last year we began a partnership with tennis, naming a new tennis arena in Klaipeda  Mano Bank Arena. This year, we were proud to help Lithuania’s beach volleyball duo achieve a historic milestone — representing the country for the first time at the Olympic Games.

.

2023
Recognised as one of the most efficient banks in Lithuania.

Throughout 2023, Mano Bank demonstrated exceptional operational efficiency compared with other financial institutions, boasting a return on assets (ROA) of 1.55% and a return on equity (ROE) of 28.51%.

We also supported sustainability initiatives: thanks to our contribution, Sengirės fondas VšĮ purchased 6.08 hectares of forest in the Šilutė District, ensuring its protection from harmful human activity.

2022
EIF and Mano Bank signed a €40 million guarantee for SME loans

Under the European Commission’s InvestEU programme, Mano Bank became the first financial institution in Lithuania to sign such a guarantee agreement with the EIF. The programme promotes innovation, sustainability, job creation and economic growth.

According to audited data, in 2022, the bank’s loan portfolio reached €89.13 million euros (a 77% increase on 2021). Net interest income grew by 53% to €5.0 million, and net income from services and commissions rose by 35% to €2.6 million. Profit grew by 32%, reaching €1.58 million. Total assets rose by 84%, reaching €201.6 million.

2021
We joined the Lithuanian Responsible Business Association

In January 2021, we became a full member of the Lithuanian Responsible Business Association.

In August 2021, we approved Environmental Protection Strategy, committing to continuously reduce the bank’s direct environmental impact — including the use of fossil fuels, generation of waste and emission of greenhouse gases (GHG).

We also prepared and published the first annual Sustainability Report. For companies that seek sustainable development, sustainability reports are a necessary practice to assess the current situation, track changes and set goals. According to the 2021 report, Mano Bank meets the definition of a sustainable organisation.

2019
We have became a real bank

At the start of 2019, we restructured from a credit union into a specialised bank. By mid-year, we had refreshed the Mano Bank brand and upgraded our digital tools.

2018
We received a specialised bank license

We became the first institution in Lithuania to receive a specialised bank license. Issued by the European Central Bank through the Bank of Lithuania, this license allowed us to provide the full range of banking services in Lithuania and operate without restriction across the single European financial market — in all 27 EU member states.

2016
Our family expanded

By 2016, our customer base had grown to 3,500, and our team to 23 employees. The bank’s total assets reached €53 million. With growth came a stronger sense of community — even our Christmas parties became much livelier!

2014
We reached 1,500 members

In 2014, the number of employees rose to 15, and membership of our credit union reached 1,500. We began the transition from a small team into a growing company, setting the stage for rapid development
